Community Service Day 2024

On the 27th of January Community Service Day was observed. Mahatma International School took the lead as a representative of the Pillai Group of Institutions. The Inmates of ‘Param Shanti Dham Old Age Trust’ were invited and honored. Children and staff of our school entertained them by singing songs, and playing games with them. They were served food by the children and gifted with small token of love.

Community Service Day 2023

Community Service Day was observed on 4th February, 2023 at Pillai College, New Panvel. About 25 old people were invited from ‘Param Shanti Dham Old Age Trust’. A group of ten teachers and students from class VIII were took in charge of the guest. Some amusing games were conducted to entertain the elderly people. Various events were organized by the students. After that, the Principal, Mr. Jomon Mathew gave a detailed speech on why we celebrate Community Day and also thanked the elderly guest for accepting the invitation. Mrs. Mabel Pillai also visited and appreciated the team and our efforts.

The ‘Elderly Young Hearts’ thoroughly enjoyed the day. Winners were given prizes and gifts.

Community Service Day 2018

Community Service Day was observed on 27th January, 2018 at Pillai Campus, New Panvel. About 25 old people were invited from ‘Param Shanti Dham Old Age Trust’. A group of ten teachers and students from class VIII were the in charge of this group. They conducted various games to entertain the elderly people. Games like Musical chair, housie, parcel passing were organized by the students.

The elders actively participated in the games and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Winners were given prizes. They were given the return gifts.

The students imbibed the value of service and giving.

Community Service Day was observed on 21st January, 2017 at Pillai College, New Panvel. About 25 old people were invited from ‘Param Shanti Dham Old Age Trust’. A group of ten teachers and students from class VIII were the in charge of this group. They conducted various games to entertain the elderly people. Games like Musical chair, housie, parcel passing were organized by the students.
