The 78th Independence Day celebration at Mahatma International School (C.B.S.E) on 15th August 2024 was a grand and a patriotic event, reflecting the spirit of unity and love for the country.

The event began at 7:30 a.m. with the arrival of the esteemed Chief Guest, received with a Guard of Honor, followed by an impressive March Past, by the Scouts and Guides, setting a tone of discipline and pride for the day’s proceedings.

A well-coordinated mass drill showcased the physical prowess and teamwork of the students. Speech in English, Marathi and Hindi inspired the audience, followed by a patriotic song that filled everyone with a deep sense of national pride.

This year the students paid tribute to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and reflected on how ‘Education’ has been central to India’s transformation from a colonized nation to a Global Powerhouse.

The first Independence Day was celebrated on 15th of August 1947, of our beloved Mother India, and on August 15th 2024, we celebrated our 78th Independence Day. The air of freedom we breathe today is because of our ancestors who fought for centuries to get us this freedom.

This celebration of freedom is observed with patriotism and enthusiasm all across the nation. Special eagerness is seen in school students – the future leaders of this nation. Schools all across the country celebrate the occasion to instill patriotism in these developing minds.
