Blue, often associated with the sky and the ocean, generally symbolises calmness and peace. To highlight these associations, Mahatma International School’s Pre-Primary Wing celebrated “Blue Colour Day” on 30th June, 2025.
During the celebration, teachers explained the significance of the colour blue and introduced it as one of the primary colours. The enthusiastic children participated by naming various blue objects, including bags, bottles, pencils, erasers, whales, the sky, the earth, the ocean, and other items.
The teacher discussed different shades of blue with them, such as light blue, navy blue, and royal blue, using various objects, crayons and colours.
The celebration featured a variety of activities focused on fingerprinting and toothbrush printing. The Senior KG students enjoyed creating fingerprints raindrops, while the Junior KG students participated in toothbrush printing to make whales. Our Nursery students also engaged in the fingerprinting raindrops activity.
Color enhances the aesthetic appeal of objects, environments, and art. It serves as a powerful tool for communication, conveying thoughts, concepts, and feelings. These activities help children develop their fine motor skills.
