On 13th August 2025, the students of Grade 7A at Mahatma International School (CBSE) conducted a vibrant and meaningful special assembly to celebrate two important occasions – Janmashtami and Independence Day.

The assembly began with a prayer and thought for the day, followed by a speech on the significance of Janmashtami, marking the birth of Lord Krishna. Students presented a colourful dance drama depicting scenes from Krishna’s childhood, including the lively and traditional Dahi Handi celebration, which brought great energy to the stage.

The second part of the assembly was dedicated to India’s 79th Independence Day. Students delivered Patriotic speeches and poems, highlighting the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the importance of unity in diversity. A group song and a short skit on India’s journey to independence left a strong impression on the audience.

The assembly concluded with a message from the class teacher, encouraging students to uphold the values of freedom, culture, and responsibility. The efforts of Grade 7A were highly appreciated for their creativity, confidence, and team spirit.
