On December 16th, a workshop titled ‘A Metaphor for Transformative Education’ was conducted for teachers by Ms. Rosemary Ma’am and Ms. Riya Ma’am. The workshop was attended by eight teachers and focused on redefining teaching practices to make learning more meaningful, engaging, and student-centered.
The session highlighted upon the effective strategies for teaching prose, poetry, writing, and grammar through innovative and interactive approaches. Teachers were encouraged to move beyond rote learning and textbook-oriented instruction and instead create a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation.
Some interesting critical and creative thinking games were conducted by the resource persons, which actively involved the teachers and demonstrated how learning can be made enjoyable and meaningful.
The workshop strongly emphasized the need for teachers to move away from traditional methods of teaching and continuously upgrade their pedagogical skills in accordance with the changing educational landscape.
