As part of the community service programme of Mahatma International School (C.B.S.E.), a collection drive was organised on 20th November 2025 for the children of Balgram Orphanage. This initiative was conducted in connection with the Children’s Day celebration, with the objective of nurturing the values of compassion, sharing, and social responsibility among our students. Essential stationary and grocery for daily-use necessities were generously contributed by the students of Std. 6 to 10 across all divisions.
The drive not only encouraged students to participate actively in helping the underprivileged but also provided them with an opportunity to understand the importance of community engagement. Teachers and coordinators guided the students throughout the process, ensuring smooth organisation and meaningful involvement.
The collected items were personally handed over to the children at Balgram Orphanage, Khanda Colony, Panvel. The warm smiles and gratitude expressed by the children made the experience truly memorable. It served as a reminder that small acts of kindness can create a big impact.
Such initiatives continue to strengthen the bond between the school and the community while inspiring students to become responsible and empathetic citizens.
