Green is often associated with nature and plants. It symbolises progress and peace. To highlight these associations, Mahatma International School’s Pre-Primary Wing celebrated “Green Colour Day” on 31st July 2025.
During the celebration, teachers explained the significance of the colour green and introduced it as one of the secondary colours. The enthusiastic children participated by naming various green objects, including bags, bottles, pencils, erasers, plants, caterpillars and other items.
The teacher discussed different shades of green with them, such as light green, dark green using various objects, crayons and colours.
The celebration featured a variety of activities focused on leaf printing and collage activity. The Senior KG students enjoyed creating leaf printing.
While the Junior KG students participated in collage making to make a tree. Our Nursery students also engaged in the leaf printing activity.
Colour enhances the aesthetic appeal of objects, environments, and art. It serves as a powerful tool for communication, conveying thoughts, concepts, and feelings. These activities help children develop their fine motor skills.
