Mahakavi Kalidasa is widely regarded as the greatest Sanskrit poet and dramatist of all time.
Ashad Shukla Pratipada that is the first day of Ashad month is the birthday of Mahakavi Kalidas, so this day is called Mahakavi Kalidas Din.
On 6th July, 2024, MIS held a special Day celebration of kalidas Din, emphasizing the importance of literature & life of Kalidas.
The Celebration began with a warm welcome speech by the students of VIII B, who highlighted the significance of Kalidas Day. The students spoke about the Great poet Kalidas.
It was then followed by a Sanskrit song that shows respect towards Great poet Kalidas by VII B students.
The students of VIII B presented a skit which was really entertaining based upon one of the incident in the life of Kalidas.
The Bharatanatyam dance performances based on poem of Kalidas ‘Ritusamharam’ presented by the students of VII B, shown changes in nature during Monsoon.
At the end few verses which were composed by Kalidas is presented by students of VII A with its English & Hindi Meaning. These verses were in the form of thought of Kalidas in poetic form.
