Class 9 and 10 went for Picnic to The Ekvira Aai Mandir, Karla Caves and Wet ‘N Joy Water Park near Lonavala. The Ekvira Aai Mandir is a Hindu temple located near the Karla Caves, Lonavala, in Maharashtra, India. The Temple is a prime spot of worship for the Koli Community. The temple Is on a hill. One needs to ascend around 500 steps to reach the temple. It is surrounded by the Karla caves, which are now protected by the Archeological department. The group at Karla Is one of the older and smaller of the many rock-cut Buddhist sites in Maharashtra, but is one of the best-known because of the famous “Grand Chaitya” (Cave 8), which is the largest and most completely preserved” chaitya hall of 2nd century BC with unusual quantities of fine sculpture. Today, the cave complex is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India.

Nestled in the lush Western Ghats, Wet n Joy, the Royal Castle, is India’s largest water park and a popular picnic destination with 25 rides, a huge wave pool, the Crazy to Float down, and the rain dance station. Kids loved the well spent day.
