Poetry Recitation Competition aims to help the students to gain confidence, to shed shyness, to face a large audience and to enjoy the aesthetic beauty of language and verses. To infuse all these skills in students, a Poetry Recitation Competition was held for classes I to VIII in the classrooms. Many students participated enthusiastically in the competition. The students selected poetries of renowned poets of English like William Wordsworth, Tennyson etc. They began with a brief introduction of the poet and theme of the poetry. The students were assessed on the criteria like originality, rhythm, body language and expression, confidence and introduction.
