World Sanskrit Day, also known as Viswa-Samskrita-Dinam (विश्वसंस्कृतदिनम्) is an annual event focused around the ancient Indian Language Sanskrit, that is aimed to promote its revival and maintenance.
From 20th to 23rd August 2024, our school celebrated Sanskrit Week, emphasizing the importance of Sanskrit language.

Sanskrit Day was celebrated on 19th August 2024, which coincided with the full moon day of the Shraavana month. World Sanskrit Day, also referred to as Viswa-Samskrita-Dinam (विश्वसंस्कृतदिनम्), is an annual event aimed at promoting the revival and maintenance of the ancient Indian language, Sanskrit. From 20th to 23rd August 2024, our school commemorated Sanskrit Week to emphasize the significance of Sanskrit. The celebration featured a variety of activities, including a poster-making event by students of Class VIII A with the theme “आ नो भद्राः क्रतवो यन्तु विश्वतः,” meaning “Let noble thoughts come to me from all directions.” Additionally, there was a handwriting competition and board decoration by Class IX A & B, showcasing new inventions and discoveries by Sanskrit scholars in fields like Aeronautics (वेमानिकशास्त्रम्), Mathematics (प्रमेयम्), Physics (प्रकाशः), Medical Science (आयुर्वेदः), and Cooking (पाकशास्त्रम्). Solo singing in Sanskrit was performed by students of Class X C, while students from Class X C & D recited Shlokas and Stotras, including hymns from the Vedas, Shriharistotram, Durga Stotram, Ramraksha Stotram, and Mahisasurmardini Stotram.
