On 31st January 2026, Saturday, the students of Standard IX from Mahatma International School (CBSE) participated in Uberang, an inter-school cultural fest held at Pillai Campus, Panvel. The event witnessed a spectacular showcase of talent from various schools, with students competing in multiple categories.
Our students performed a captivating dance based on the theme Robots – AI, highlighting the growing influence of technology and artificial intelligence in today’s world. Their synchronized movements, robotic expressions, and innovative choreography impressed the audience. The performance creatively portrayed the relationship between humans and machines, blending energy, precision, and storytelling.
Their remarkable presentation earned them the prestigious First Runner-Up position in the competition. This achievement reflected their talent, teamwork, and dedication.
In addition, a student from Standard VIII won the First Prize in the Solo Performance category with a Pot Dance (Perani Natyam), a Melattur-style Bharatanatyam performance that showcased exceptional balance, strength, and rhythmic skill while dancing on the rim of an inverted clay pot.
The event proved to be a memorable experience for all the participants and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in the performing arts.
