The Government of India has decided to commemorate 26th December as “Veer Baal Diwas” every year to pay homage to the great valour and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the younger sons of tenth Sikh-Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, for their supreme and unparalleled sacrificed on 26th December 1705, at the tender age of 9 and 6 years respectively, to defend the dignity and honoured of Shikhism.
As per instructions from the Government an interactive and participative session was conducted to inform and educate the students about the contextualised story of the exemplary courage of the Sahibzadas.
A Special assemblywas conducted, dedicated to the theme, short films on Veer Baal Diwaswas shown. Students expressed their thoughts on the theme to round up the session.
