The colour yellow is widely associated with happiness, positivity & energy. To highlight these associations, Mahatma International School’s Pre-primary wing celebrated “Yellow Colour Day” On 23rd April 2025, Teachers explained the significance of the yellow colour and introduced it as one of the primary colours. They also led the children in singing a song about the colour yellow. Enthusiastic children named many yellow colour objects like sunflowers, hibiscus, roses, banana, pineapple, mango, capsicum, corn, sun, toys, School bus many more.
The recent celebration encompassed a variety of activities centred around colouring. The Sr.KG. students engaged in colouring images that included the sun, corn, sunflower, banana, mango, and lemon. Meanwhile, the Jr.KG students participated by colouring a large sunflower and a yellow t-shirt. In addition, our Nursery students enjoyed colouring a banana.
Colour enhances the aesthetic appeal of objects, the environment and art. It’s a powerful tool for communication, conveying thoughts, concepts and feelings. Activities help children develop fine motor skills.
