Mahatma International School (CBSE) celebrated Sanskrit Week from August 11 to August 20, 2025, with great enthusiasm and active participation from secondary students of Grades 6 to 10. The celebration aimed to promote the richness of the Sanskrit language and foster a deeper appreciation for India’s ancient linguistic heritage.

Throughout the week, a variety of Competitions and Language-Enhancing Activities were organized. These included:

  • Shloka Recitation
  • Sanskrit Handwriting Competition
  • Sanskrit Vocabulary Quiz
  • Skit Performances in Sanskrit
  • Poster Making on Sanskrit Literature and Culture

Students enthusiastically took part, showcasing their talent and gaining confidence in using the Sanskrit language. The school corridors echoed with Sanskrit verses and the spirit of learning.

Teachers also conducted interactive sessions on the importance of Sanskrit in modern education and its contribution to Indian philosophy, science and culture.

The week concluded with a short felicitation ceremony, where winners were appreciated and all participants were encouraged to continue their journey with the language.

The Sanskrit Week celebration was not just an academic initiative, but a joyful experience that deepened students’ connection to India’s linguistic and cultural roots.
